... is a bulletin board system that has been in operation since April 1992. It has gone through a number of host changes. The bbs used to be hosted at the University of Southern Mississippi and was moved to a server on the Datasync network in 1997. Further information can be found here.

Ray Rocker, the sysop, wrote an article that appeared in Linux Journal a few years ago. The text of the article can be found here. It gives the history of EBBS, the software, and describes how it works.

This web site is provided as a service to the user community of the Internet, or at least the ones who have been around long enough to remember the Net without the fucking Web. It is especially for the users of Eagle's Nest, who by and large are clueful.
